Recreation plays a vital role in supporting meaningful community integration. It provides opportunities for the people we support to explore new interests, build natural supports and friendships, and increase independence and confidence. Recreation and leisure activities will be integrated into existing programs as therapeutic interventions to support the achievement of individualized goals.

At Sunshine Services, our Recreation Department creates meaningful opportunities for the people we support to build friendships, explore new interests, and engage with their community. From Special Olympics and trips to Dollywood to art classes, bowling, concerts, and sporting events, these experiences promote inclusion, confidence, personal growth, and lasting memories. With your support, we can continue expanding our recreation program to provide even more community experiences, adventures, and opportunities for connection.
